The National Trust

As the main land owners of the Long Mynd, National Trusts support for the event is crucial. Luckily for us they have an enthusiasm for developing mountain biking in the area. Finding a balance between preservation and encouraging people to explore the Long Mynd is tough job, that’s why we have worked closely with National Trust to develop the Batch Burner route to manage the impact on the landscape. With scheduled ancient monuments, wet flushes and a wealth of wildlife plus plenty of other users to consider the route and the impact needs to be carefully considered.

National Trust donated much appreciated time and resource to help make the 2013 Batch Burner run smoothly and have pledged their support again for 2014. We plan to make a donation to help fund trail maintenance.
